Hey I've been learning more about tarot cards thanks to it being part of the fandoms I'm in, lol. (I'm feeling a lot like The Fool tarot right now, haha.) My therapist explicitly mentions in her Psych Today profile that she uses tarot. Heck, her practice is called Wyrd Therapy!
One of my greatest fears, is to become poor and homeless...I'm still working to become financially independent, even in this expensive city. (I prefer to stay in this city due to various reasons, including trans-friendliness.) My parents are approaching their 70s, so I can't rely on them forever. My income is growing slowly...but very slowly lol.
I'm scared that something will happen to my parents before I make enough money to live, and also support them. And how much would senior retirement homes cost? Etc. (I frankly don't have the time, energy, or patience to live with my parents, either. We also don't get along, and I prefer living away from them in another country like I am now!)
I also feel spoiled, because a friend, who works as a school chef, barely makes above minimum wage. But they're very resourceful and manage. (They live in the States somewhere but idk where. Probably somewhere with a low cost of living, otherwise it would be impossible to live. I believe they live with their sister, too. They once told me they can't imagine making more than 30 K USD a year, OMG that's actually scary. They are passionate about being a chef, though, and I wish schools paid chefs more. I don't even know. They mentioned that they make and sell jewellery as a side business.)
Growing together. Discovering who we are individually, together. I like it. It feels right. ❤️
I like how you acknowledge fear and yet choose to move forward. That is true courage.
Thank you. My whole writing journey has been about fear.
Do you feel the same?
