Love this insight! I never thought about it this way, but I have balanced life this way. Maybe if I had been more intentional about it, some of the bumps might have been smoother.
In the last few years, I have been looking at balance as reaching the Goldilocks Point. And that analogy implies that you’ve tried the extremes first, tested the boundaries, and found your best path somewhere in the middle.
We were trained to stick to routine at a young age. After all, what was the alternative? Join a commune like a hippy (lol)?
